Interviewing & You: Know Yourself to Get the Job

Program Description:

Interviewing for any position, whether internally in your current company or for a new job somewhere else, can be nerve-wracking and intimidating.  One thing that can help with interview confidence is knowing yourself.  Knowing your strengths, skills, abilities, and ultimately, what you want for your career path, will help you secure the job you are meant to have.  Let me help you learn who you are and also how that will relate to your interviewing skills and what will get you the job.

About the Speaker:

Jennie Ellison has contributed her Human Resources and Communications knowledge for over 10 years in the professional services, consumer products, and supply chain/transportation logistics industries.

Jennie specializes in Policy Writing, Recruiting, Succession Planning, and her ultimate passion, Learning & Talent Development.  Jennie developed herself in these areas in the HR department at Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.  Last fall, Jennie  offered her time and expertise in interviewing and job searching to Delaware Valley Christian Church's Career Ministry.  Jennie is currently a Leadership Development Specialist for NFI Industries, based in Cherry Hill, NJ.  Throughout her career, she has facilitated over 200 instructor-led classes, as well as developed training programs on topics such as leadership, communication, creative thinking, generations in the workplace, and interviewing & talent selection.

Jennie received her Bachelors degree in Communications from Penn State Erie, the Behrend College in 2002 and a Masters in Education from Kent State University in 2013.
