"Mindful Leadership: Personal Mastery Practices for the Leader in All of Us" with Ken Giglio

Program Description:

“People can lead from any chair,” says our February speaker Ken Giglio, principal of leadership consulting and executive coaching firm Mindful Leadership Consulting.  “Leadership is not about a title or even a team; it’s about a commitment to serve a greater good through your signature contribution.”

In this fascinating presentation, Ken will share how learning and development practitioners can benefit from the same mindfulness strategies and practices he teaches executives at Fortune 500 companies.  For practitioners who want to get on the path to higher performance and personal fulfillment, this is absolutely a can’t-miss event!

All of us today are challenged by continuous change dictated by rapidly shifting business concerns and an accelerated pace to deliver results.  In this environment, individuals who are reactive and reflexive drain themselves, their relationships, and their organizations of focus and engagement – two critical keys to cultivating dynamic personal and professional lives.

An antidote and alternative to such reactivity is mindfulness.  Mindfulness is present moment awareness, a non-judgmental “tuning in” to the flow of experience as it happens.  Mindful individuals are reflective and responsive, enabling open dialogue, agility, possibility thinking, and resilience. They also have the courage and presence to confront and shift self-limiting mindsets and behaviors that undermine personal, team, and organizational effectiveness.

A growing body of research has shown the value of mindfulness in reducing stress, increasing focus, and fostering empathy and connection. Organizations of all stripes have leveraged mindfulness programs – from the US military, which teaches a version of mindfulness call “Situation Awareness,” to Google, which offers a mindfulness program called “Search Inside Yourself.”

Attendees will learn:

Mindfulness practices to enhance personal mastery for focused attention, agility, and engagement

Strategies to cultivate a reflective versus a reactive style

Approaches to shift self-limiting thinking and behaviors and elevate your leadership to the max!

Each attendee will also receive a complimentary copy of Ken’s booklet “Mindful Leadership: Seven Practices in Personal Mastery.”
