Program Description:

Many of us have perfected our training skills in the face-to-face classroom. Now we sit behind desks, talk to computer screens and facilitate participants across the country… or even around the world. Despite the fact that online training technology has been in existence for close to 20 years, for some of us it still feels like we are stepping out into the wilderness of the Wild West. Learning the technology is

one thing, but fully tapping into it is another.

The live, online classroom has a variety of collaboration tools that we need to take better advantage of in order to maximize training in the virtual synchronous classroom, according to Jennifer Hoffman the author of Live and Online!

About the Speakers:

 

Marian W. Vallotton, Director of Training and Organizational Development for MEA (www.meainfo.org) (presenter) is experienced in senior management, organizational development, coaching and training and has worked across a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, food, health, retail, and manufacturing in both the profit and not-for-profit sectors. Her expertise is in partnering with senior management to develop in-house talent to strategically affect corporate culture and improve business results. Individuals and organizations have benefited from her high impact approach to training, instructional design and interactive facilitation skills. She has designed and implemented leadership, sales, customer service, interpersonal skills and operational training programs for major corporations. 
 

 

Angel Ross, principal of Digi-Quest (http://www.Digi-Quest.com) (producer) is a synchronous and asynchronous learning expert, with Digi-Quest, a consulting/training firm that specializes in the creation, design and delivery of training, eLearning, LMS Integration and Virtual Collaboration. An advocate in the eLearning field since the mid 90's, she has facilitated and delivered successful live and online courses for many corporations and government agencies world wide in various industries. She specializes in Project/Asset/Learning Management, Instructional Design, Workflow and Processes for print, multi-media, web, social-media and virtual collaboration. Her latest project is a work in progress of a virtual resource portal for business and consumers.
