Welcome to the Pennsylvania Executive Education Series sponsored by your ATD chapter.  Every 2nd Wednesday of the month we'll be presenting a thought leader in executive education coming from our most prestigious academic institutions and organizations across the state. 

What capabilities will you need for leading teams and organizations during the coming decade?  Drawing on the leadership experience of ten chief executives -- including those of Estée Lauder, Johnson & Johnson, Progressive Insurance, Philadelphia Eagles and the Continental Army – Dr. Mike Useem (Wharton Professor) identifies what’s still true but also what’s new for leading teams, operations, agencies and enterprises.

Dr. Michael Useem is Professor of Management and Faculty Director of the Leadership Center and McNulty Leadership Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. His university teaching includes MBA and executive-MBA courses on management and leadership, and he offers programs on leadership and governance for managers in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. He is the author of The Leader’s Checklist, The Leadership Moment, and The Edge: How Ten CEOs Learned to Lead – and the Lessons for Us All. Dr. Useeem is co-anchor for a weekly program “Leadership in Action” on SiriusXM Radio Channel 132, Business Radio by the Wharton School, and he can be reached at useem@wharton.upenn.edu.
