Every profession is in need of enhancing existing negotiation training methods in traditional sales and management contexts, but these strategies have yet to fully address the linguistic/cultural components needed when negotiating with international professionals from varied language and cultural backgrounds. In this workshop, language and business communication faulty/trainers will present a modern and practical win-win negotiation framework that fuses content-specific strategies with interpersonal linguistic/communication techniques. This proven model, building on an inclusive international negotiation approach, enhances interpersonal skills through cross cultural communication strategies, practical application of linguistic concepts and modern best practices in the field.
Participants will gain techniques via virtual negotiation simulation and materials that have proven effective from business trainings the presenters haver delivered for participants at New York University and at international corporations/organizations, such as the United Nations. Participants will leave with practical strategies and resources for sales negotiating within an international context.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Tailor negotiations to diverse audiences and successfully navigate cultural conventions in both in-person and virtual business sales settings
- gain proven techniques for conducting international negotiations using cultural strategies and win-win persuasive appeals
