"Networking – Opening Real Opportunity Channels" Brenda Grove

Program Description:

Effective networking is a proven pathway to success. Engage with others in this interactive session to learn how to grow your real network in a systematic process of maintaining relationships with people who become a circle of support, friends, information resources and your career bank account.  Tips on reaching your personal goals, starting memorable conversations, broadening your network and identifying resources.


About the Speaker:

Brenda is an active networker who has a multi-faceted background in both adult education and business. Her professional experience ranges from coordinating a unique training program at Unisys to providing academic and career counseling at both private and public colleges and universities. As an outplacement consultant for two of the area’s top firms, she instructed adults in career transition. She continues this professional assistance as a volunteer and on Twitter as VUOutreach.

In her current position, she promotes the University’s graduate programs through marketing efforts and recruiting events at corporate sites. For more than a decade she has collaborated on the annual HR graduate program networking events.  

She has been a featured speaker on networking and other career topics at many organizations. She serves is the President of the Greater Philadelphia Alliance of Colleges and Universities and founded a Professional Women’s Network.  Additionally, she holds a masters degree in counseling and a bachelor degree in family studies.
