Innovative Practices in Learning & Development

Program Description:

While many of us approach learning and development in a more-or-less traditional manner (e.g., one of or a mix of classroom, on-line, and experiential learning), it is always beneficial for us to hear about more innovative practices in learning and development.  By defining innovative as "a new match between a  solution and a need that creates value", we realize we don't have to always invent a new methodology ... just a new approach.

At our Leadership & OD SIG meeting this month  you will hear from learning and development leaders at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, and Tyco as to what they are doing that's innovative.

  • Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia will talk about their unique cohort-driven development program, designed to provide leaders with deep insight into the people-side of leading.
  • Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics will talk about their enterprise education management solution, the role of the education consultant within Siemens, and how their people, process and tools bring quality education to the healthcare customer and employee.
  • Tyco will present their blended learning approach for their change practitioners and how it's applied to their project work.

Join us to find out how you might leverage these innovative practices for yourself, your team and your organization.   Our hope is that this information will get our creative juices flowing and provide new ideas and reframe some of our approaches to learning & development.
