The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of ATD is proud to participate in the ATD Regional Webinar Series. This collaboration of 6 ATD chapters (including Eastern PA, Greater Philadelphia, Mid NJ, Northern NJ, Long Island & New York City) is bringing together the best of our networks to provide world class presenters and content.  We look forward to sharing these webinars with you throughout 2021.

Recent studies have found that professional growth is among the top 3 attributes people want in a job. Yet, even if employees are self-motivated, they often focus on the least effective ways to develop.

The objective of this program is to help participants become smarter learners through understanding the answer to the questions “Are there different ways to develop, and if so are some more effective than others?”

ABOUT OUR PRESENTER:

Mark Spool | President of Management Development Solutions

Mark Spool is president of Management Development Solutions, a consulting firm specializing in leadership development including executive coaching and 360-degree feedback. Mark has over 40 years’ international and domestic experience, working both internally and externally. 

Mark’s breadth of consulting experience includes companies in finance, manufacturing, food & beverage, retail, technology, and oil & chemical, as well as family-owned businesses, government agencies, and not-for-profit organizations.  Prior to consulting, Mark held management positions in ARCO Chemical Company, Payless ShoeSource and Marathon Oil Company.

Mark holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University.  He is the lead judge for the HR Department of the Year and the CEO of the Year Awards, is a Baldrige certified examiner for the Delaware Quality Award, and has been an instructor at Penn State University and Villanova.  He was recently nominated for HR Consultant of the Year. Mark is also the president of the Greater Philadelphia chapter of ATD.
