DETAILS:
Work has changed greatly and with it has come lots of threat and uncertainty. Since our brains are basically created to function as our "protector" from threat, those leading behavioral change must realize the impact on the brain. They will experience more success with their learners when they have a better understanding of how the brain perceives and processes change when implementing learning and development initiatives.
Tricia Steege, Founder and CEO of Transformation Strategies, will share the latest evidence-based neuroscience research for organization change. She will explore what happens to the brain during change, how it perceives change, and the specific tactical actions talent development professionals can take to help learners move from a place of protecting themselves to fully embracing what their organizational leaders are asking them to do.
By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:
- Describe how implementing neuroscience concepts and activities facilitate learning and adoption during change
- Educate their leadership clients about neuroscience perspectives on change and how to help them build confidence in their ability to lead others through change
- Talk about how to implement change neuroscience concepts to drive best practices which are found throughout the ATD Capability Model
