Employee engagement is touted as one of the most impactful metrics that executives consider when measuring customer experience.  Research is clear that high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction correlate directly to higher levels of customer satisfaction.

However, in 2022 for the first time in years, companies are reporting a decline in their employee engagement metrics.  In previous years, fully remote employees showed the lowest rates of employee engagement – but interestingly, in 2022 employees who work exclusively remote or hybrid are reporting higher levels of engagement than those who work fully on-site.  

In this session, we will focus on understanding the key drivers of employee engagement as well as discuss some of the expectations that the changing workforce requires in a world where employees are spread across on-site, remote and fully remote offices.

Speaker Bio

Dr. Amy A. Lavin | Associate Professor

Dr. Amy A. Lavin is an Associate Professor of Management Information Systems and Director of Digital Innovation in Marketing at the Fox School of Business at Temple University. At Fox, Amy is the Academic Director of the Master of Science program in Digital Innovation in Marketing and teaches courses at the undergraduate, graduate and executive level on information systems and data analytics, user experience and business intelligence.  Amy serves as a faculty fellow for both the Fox School and the Honors Program and has won several teaching awards in both face-to-face and online classes.  Prior to her academic career, Amy was engaged in digital transformation and consulting in organizations across North America.
