Virtual Communication Skills You Need Now

Hosted by the ATD Greater Philadelphia Chapter

Wednesday, January 28th | 6:00 - 7:15 p.m. ET | Zoom

About This Event

The modern workplace is in constant flux—navigating hybrid models, employee burnout, and persistent uncertainty. In this environment, clear communication isn't just a skill; it's a lifeline. Research shows that during times of change, employees with transparent leaders are 2.3x more likely to have high levels of trust.

This session is a high-impact, interactive lab designed to give you the tools to build that trust through a screen. The format is high-energy and hands-on — so please be sure to have your cameras on.

Whether attendees are delivering feedback online, leading distributed teams, or speaking on Zoom under pressure, they’ll walk away with tangible skills they can apply the very same day.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Apply small but high-impact shifts to project presence and clarity on screen.
  • Reflect on their current virtual habits — and what to adjust immediately.
  • Apply specific techniques to build psychological safety and foster trust in virtual and hybrid settings.
  • Use practical tools to engage more effectively in meetings, team check-ins, and high-stakes presentations.
  • Leave with techniques they can apply in their very next virtual interaction.
