The AI Playbook for Talent Leaders: A Blueprint for Strategic Impact

Hosted by the Northern NJ Chapter

    Tuesday, Sep 16th | 6:00 - 7:15 p.m. ET | Zoom

    About This Event

In an era of intense technological disruption, Talent Development leaders are under pressure to move beyond the hype and make sound, defensible decisions about AI. The critical challenge is not simply adopting new tools, but integrating them into a coherent strategy that drives measurable business value. Success requires a shift in our role: from program owners to strategic architects of workforce capability.

This evidence-based, vendor-neutral session delivers a practical blueprint for making that shift. Dr. Markus Bernhardt will provide a clear method for analyzing workforce challenges and deploying technology with precision and purpose. Drawing on insights from rigorous, real-world case studies, he will introduce a powerful strategic framework for diagnosing your needs, mapping your implementation path, and articulating the value of your initiatives to the business. You will leave with the clarity and confidence to lead your organization's approach to technology, ensuring your function remains an indispensable driver of success.

Key Takeaways: In this session, you will learn how to:
    • Diagnose Your Needs with Precision: Move beyond buzzwords and learn to analyze any technology through the lens of its core function. Whether it is built to Train skills, Assess capability, or Support in-workflow performance, this analysis will allow you to match the right solution to the right problem.
    • Map Your Strategic Path Forward: Acquire a versatile framework for categorizing any technology initiative, whether you are buying a tool to increase efficiency or building a novel solution to create a new capability. This will enable you to anticipate challenges and align your team on the critical factors for success.
    • Lead the Conversation on Value and Risk: Grasp the most significant risk in working with AI, the "Cognitive Illusion", and learn to champion the essential role of human expertise. You will leave prepared to build a compelling business case that articulates the true value of your work to senior leadership.

This interactive program is designed for trainers who specialize in leadership, communication, or teamwork. It introduces a simple yet powerful model based on four core communication styles. You will learn practical strategies to enhance connection and engagement—especially with challenging trainees.

Through the use of this model, trainers will see how to help leaders: increase clarity, reduce misunderstandings, and foster stronger workplace connections—leading to higher engagement, productivity, and retention. When communication styles go unrecognized, misinterpretation and frustration can derail a team. This program equips trainers with the tools to bridge communication gaps, adapt their delivery, and help their learners become more effective communicators and leaders.

    Key Learning Outcomes

Trainers (and later their learners) will gain insights into and practical strategies to:

    • Recognize and respond to diverse communication styles for stronger engagement.

    • Correct Misinterpretations – Understand how they may be misreading others' communication and behavior.

    • Clarify Their Own Communication – Identify ways their style may cause confusion or frustration for others.

    • Strengthen Connections and Engagement – Tailor their approach to build rapport and improve communication.

Interactive discussions will highlight these style differences and provide opportunities to explore practical application back on the job.

    Special Bonus:

All participants who keep their cameras on (mostly) will be able to sign up to take the assessment for free at the end of the program and receive a personalized report about their communication style. Two winners will get a free 30-minute consultation with Alan about how they can build communication styles into their existing programs.
